ABSTRACT

The problem of determining the parameters of the relative position and attitude of a passive spacecraft (SC) with respect to the active SC, using 3-D graphical model and video data for approach and docking. A method for determining the relative position and orientation is based on a comparison of the image, obtained by the video camera, with the images of SC for which the parameters of relative position and attitude are known, is proposed. Three approaches to image comparisons are proposed and discussed. The results of simulation of work of the method of determining the parameters of relative position and attitude for all three approaches of comparison of images are presented, their advantages and disadvantages are analyzed.
